Most people I talk to tell me they have a hard time switching off the tension and thoughts of work at the end of the workday. The mind seems determined not to let go of the day’s events and worries. We just can’t stop thinking about work and we consequently find ourselves on our phones and computers at home during our “off” time.
It is time to manage your working hours. This may entail (TIP) a 5 minute meditation session in the car before you walk through the door to clear your head, make a mental note of things to do the next day, and fully commit yourself to relaxing and enjoying the evening. OR it may be taking advantage of all those days off you have accrued and going on a spontaneous stay-cation!
Whatever it is, we challenge you to work hard at work but turn it off when you get home for these next two weeks and see how it helps you destress and live your life. After all, we don’t live to work, we work to live.
